1). First Register your Domain from Bigrock

2). After that login to your BigRock account

3). Select the domain you want to setup from  List all Orders

4). Now choose DNS Management tab and click on Manage DNS.

5). Now click on CNAME Records and Add CNAME Record.

6). Enter the following details in their respective fields  and click add record (See Screenshot below)

Name: www
Value: ghs.google.com
TTL: Do not modify this value.

7). After filling CNAME, Click on A Records.

Add these 4 A Records by entering the following Destination IPv4 address for each record

216.239.34.21
216.239.36.21
216.239.38.21

 

8). So After Adding all A Records, It will look like the image below

 

9). Once you have done the steps above, Its time to add your newly bought Domain to BlogSpot Blog.

10). Log in to your Blogger Blog.

Check Permissions (actually write-protected?)

a) Right-click on external hard drive and select properties in the explorer windows.
b) In the properties window, select the security tab.
c) Select the ‘user’ under user name and click on ‘Edit’.
d) Check if you have Write permissions. If you don’t, check the option “Full” for full permissions or “Write” for write permissions.

Modify a registry key StorageDevicePolicies.

1. Open Start Menu ,
2. Run, type regedit and press Enter, this will open the registry editor.
3. Navigate to the following path:

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

    If you can’t find the key StorageDevicePolicies , go to step 7.
4. Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0 In the Value Data Box and press OK button
5. Exit Registry
6. Reboot your pc.

If you can’t find the key StorageDevicePolicies in step (3) you have to create it manually.

7. Right-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrrentControlSet\Control\ and select New -> Key.
8. Enter the name StorageDevicePolicies.
9. Click on the new registry key StorageDevicePolicies and on the right pan right-click, select New > DWORD and give it the name WriteProtect.
10. Double click on it and set its value to 0.

Using Diskpart

1. Start > search bar -> CMD and press enter
2. type< diskpart
3. type< list disk
4. type< select disk # (# is the number of the USB HDD you’ve plugged in )
5. type< attributes disk clear readonly

Format your USB drive

If still the usb drive is write protected then you can execute a “low-level format” on the drive. Download the free software to perform the “low-level format” of your USB drive.

After completing the low-level-format you may have to create a partition in that disk drive.
For that :
1. Run diskmgmt.msc in Run.
2. In the disk management window, select the pen drive, right click on it and click on Format.
3. Click OK and the drive will be reusable after this.

If you still receive the error "The disk is write-protected.Remove the write-protection or use another drive". The only solution is then to through out your USB drive and buy a new one..

4. If you want to manually configure server, just skip this step and jump to step 7

5. Give your name, E-mail address, and password in Auto Account setup dialogue box.

6. Click Next. If you are configuring Outlook 2007 automatically, you're done! Just click Finish.

7. To configure manually Tick manually configures server settings or additional server type option .

8. Select Internet E-mail and click Next.

9.  User Information
    Your Name: Enter your Name
    Email-Address:Enter your Gmail username

    Server Information
    Account Type: POP3
    Incoming mail server: pop.gmail.com
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
   
    Logon Information
    User Name: Enter your Gmail username (including @gmail.com).
    Password: Enter your email password.
    Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Leave this option unchecked.

10. After giving above information , Click the More Settings button, and select the Outgoing Server tab

11. Check the box  My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

12. Click the Advanced tab, and check the box This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)

     Enter 995 in the  Incoming Server (POP3).
    Enter 587 In the Outgoing server (SMTP) box, and select TLS from the Use the following type of encrypted connection drop-down.

13 .Click OK.

14. Click Test Account Settings... After receiving 'Congratulations! All tests completed successfully', click Close.

15. Click Next, and then finally click Finish.

How to boot directly to the desktop in Windows 8

1. Create an Explorer script file that launches the desktop. Open Notepad and paste or type in the following text:

2. Save the file as showmydeskop.scf and put it in a location you’ll easily remember.

3. Launch Windows Task Scheduler. You can find Task Scheduler by using Windows 8′s built-in search or by navigating to the Administrative Tools section of Control Panel.

4. Right click in the task area and select Create New Task.

5. Enter a name (ex: ShowDesktop)  on the General tab.

6.Set the task to trigger at log on by clicking new on the trigger tab, and selecting  ”At log on” from the Begin Task list.

7.Make your script an action by clicking New on the Action tab, selecting  ”Start a program” from the Action menu, and entering the full path of showmydesktop.scf (ex: C:\myscripts\showmydesktop.scf) in the Program/script field.

8. Toggle off “Stop if the computer switches to battery power” on the conditions tab. You want to log in to the desktop whether your notebook is plugged in or not.

9. Click Ok and close the Task Manager.

Now when Windows 8 starts up, it will take you directly to Desktop instead of showing the Metro Start Screen.

Microsoft is releasing several updated display drivers via Windows Update for Windows 8 Consumer Preview. These updates may resolve a variety of known graphics issues. Please check Windows Update to make sure that you have downloaded and installed all of the latest updates, including optional updates.

How to check for driver updates

1. At the Start screen, type Windows Update.

2. Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select Install optional updates from the left results

3. When the Windows Update control panel opens, click on “Check for Updates” on the top left corner to receive a fresh list of updates

Note: after installing a driver update, Windows Update may continue to show the same driver update is available until another scan for updates occurs. During this time, attempting to install this driver update again may fail with either an error code 0x80070103 or error code 0x800F020B. This is currently a known issue on Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

When this occurs, the driver should have been successfully installed on the first attempt and you can safely continue to use the PC. To avoid this issue, after installing any driver updates, click Check for updates to perform another scan and verify that no further updates are needed.

To Create a Picture Password, Follow the steps below.

1. Open PC settings (Settings > More PC Settings).

2. Click on Personalize in the left pane, then click on Create a picture password in the right pane.

3. Type in your user account's password, and press Enter or click on OK

4. Click on Choose a picture

5. Navigate to and select the folder that contains the picture that you want to use, select the image by clicking on it, then click on the Open button at the bottom right corner.

6. If you like the selected picture, then click on Use this picture and continue

7.In this step you will choose your password. You will be asked to enter three gestures you want to select as your password on this picture and you can select gestures like Tap, Circle or Straight line.

8. When finished drawing the three gestures, you will now have to repeat them again exactly one by one again to confirm them
NOTE: If you make a mistake while drawing your gestures, then you can click on the Start Over button

9. When finished, click on OK. Your picture password has now been created.

Now when  you will log on to your windows 8 account you will shown the same picture you selected and asked to enter the same three gestures you selected as your passwords on the selected picture.

In Metro-Style Right-click on the tile (on which the icon that you want to change appear)and a small menu will show up then click on  Open file location.

This will open the shortcut of the application in Windows Explorer.Do a right-click on the shortcut’s entry and then select Properties to open program’s properties.

Here, under Shortcut tab, click Change Icon button and select an icon to replace the default one.

Once done, click Ok and then click Apply button. You are done! Switch to Start screen to see the new icon on the tile.

How to Remove Watermark from Desktop in Windows 8 Consumer Preview

1. First apply your favorite image as Desktop wallpaper or leave it to default Windows 8 wallpaper if you like.

2. Now copy following text:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

3. Press "Win+R" keys together to open RUN dialog box and paste the above text and press Enter.

4. It'll open Themes folder in Windows Explorer where you'll find a folder "CachedFiles" and an image file "TranscodedWallpaper.jpg".

5. Now,make a copy of  "TranscodedWallpaper.jpg" file.Just click on the image file and press "Ctrl+C" and then press "Ctrl+V" key in the same folder to make a copy of image.

6. Now open "CachedFiles" folder and you'll see an image file with the name "CachedImage_xxx.jpg". That's the actual image file which is showing your Desktop wallpaper. Windows automatically creates it whenever you change your Desktop wallpaper.

7- Click on the image and press "F2" to rename it and copy it's name

8. Go back to previous folder and rename new "TranscodedWallpaper - Copy.jpg" file and paste the copied text string. (the point here is to rename the copied TranscodedWallpaper file with the same exact name as a file found in CachedFiles folder)

9. Now cut this new image file from "Themes" folder and paste it into "CachedFiles" folder.

Windows will ask for confirmation, click on "Replace the file in the destination folder" option.

10.That's it. Close the folder and refresh your Desktop and the watermark will be gone.

By default, new shortcuts are placed on the right side of the Start screen. You may want to move the tiles you create to the left side of the screen so you don’t have to scroll to access your shortcuts. To do this, simply drag the tile to the left side and drop it in place
